Is it possible to end violence?

Just the tip of the iceberg

3,500,000–6,000,000 - Napoleonic Wars (1804–1815)
20,000,000 - Taiping Rebellion (China, 1851–1864)
60,000,000–72,000,000 - World War II (1939–1945),
2,500,000–3,500,000 - Korean War (1950–1953)
2,300,000–3,800,000 - Vietnam War (entire war 1945–1975)
907 - Falklands War (1982)
1,000,000 - Iran-Iraq War (1980–1988)

And now???

Is it possible to end violence?

"Violence is not merely killing another. It is violence when we use a sharp word, when we make a gesture to brush away a person, when we obey because there is fear. So violence isn’t merely organized butchery in the name of God, in the name of society or country. Violence is much more subtle, much deeper, and we are inquiring into the very depths of violence. When you call yourself an Indian or a Muslim or a Christian or a European, or anything else, you are being violent."

It is a great quote and the deep rooted understanding of violence. Violence is just the outward expression of inward turmoil.
